enn State's 2019 recruiting class got a
lot bigger in the late spring, with six
players committing to the Nittany Lions
in May and early June. But there's still a
lot of work to be done. Even though this
is expected to be the smallest class of
James Franklin's tenure at Penn State,
most likely numbering approximately 20
players, the Lions still are only about
halfway 9nished.
What follows is a position-by-position
look at the players Penn State is target-
ing and an assessment of its chances.

WHERE PSU STANDS The Nittany Lions
always planned to take two quarterbacks
in 2019. They managed to land Roberson
fairly early in the process, but it hasn't
been smooth sailing since then, as two of

machanh and Garrett Shrader, commit-
