RISING STAR It's tough to handicap a
position battle between ;ve kickers who,
between them, have never attempted a
;eld goal at the college level. But Pinegar
looks like a strong contender for the
starting place kicker spot. The Ankeny,
Iowa, native converted 9 of 13 attempts
as a senior at Centennial High, including
a 52-yarder. He said recently that he was
kicking better than ever in the weeks
leading up to his enrollment at Penn
State, so if that trend continues he'll be
well-positioned heading into his ;rst
preseason camp.
