With a full season ahead of him, McSorley has already passed Christian Hackenberg as the Nittany Lions' all-time leader in total o9ense and touchdown passes and is closing in on his predecessor in career passing yards. The 8:h-year senior is also climbing the Big Ten's statistical charts. McSorley has averaged just over 4,000 yards of total o9ense the past two seasons, and if he were to enjoy another 4,000-yard season in 2018, he would wrap up his ca- reer as only the third player in confer- ence history to surpass 12,000 career yards. J.T. Barrett holds the Big Ten total o9ense record, having displaced former Purdue great Drew Brees last season. Barrett 8nished his Ohio State career with 12,697 yards, while Brees totaled 12,692. Former Minnesota quarterback Adam Weber is third with 11,790. Mc- Sorley is currently in 26th place with 8,268, just behind another former Buck- eye, Terrelle Pryor (8,341). In order to be- come the Big Ten's all-time total o9ense leader, McSorley would need 4,430 yards this season. That is unlikely. The Big Ten single-season record, set by Michigan's Denard Robinson in 2010, is 4,272 yards. Here's a look at where McSorley stands in the Penn State record book: TRACE McSORLEY RECORD WATCH 2 0 1 8 S E A S O N P R E V I E W
