Michal Menet is ready to take his place in the Nittany Lions' starting lineup
W
hen comparing the five ex-
pected starters on Penn State's
offensive line for this fall, one
is unlike the others.
All of the leading contenders stand at
least 6-foot-4 and weigh 300 or more
pounds. They're big, burly, and at last
they're an anticipated strength of the of-
fense. After a year or two of learning on
the job, they've all got experience and all
have big-time starts under their belts –
all of them except one.
Redshirt sophomore Michal Menet is
set to make his starting
debut at right guard,
joining a group of other
linemen who have al-
ready started at least
nine games. Menet
watched while red-
shirting as a true freshman and did much
the same last season, occasionally fight-
ing injury as he filled a reserve role on the
offensive front. Now he's ready
to make his stand.
"Everybody has a different
course to starting their college
career," Menet said. "Everybody
is just different. I'm just one of
those different stories."
