Blessed Mother of the Son of God; Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me you are my Mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succour me in my necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, Mary, con- ceived without sin, pray for us who have re- course to thee. (3 times). Holy Mary, I place this prayer in your hands. (3 times). Sweet Mother I place this cause in your hands. Irish Roundup WOMEN'S SOCCER (3-1-0, 0-0-0 ACC) Following three straight wins to open the season against Central Michigan (3-1), Loyola Chicago (2-1) and Stony Brook (1-0), Notre Dame fell 4-1 at No. 25 Butler Aug. 26. The lone goal in the game for the Irish came from freshman forward Olivia Wingate in the 68th minute. The Irish had home matchups with Cincinnati Aug. 30 and Ohio State Sept. 2, and then hit the road for two games in California against No. 1 Stanford Sept. 7 and No. 9 Santa Clara Sept. 9. MEN'S SOCCER (0-0-1, 0-0-0 ACC) The No. 24 Fighting Irish opened the season with a 1-1 draw against visiting Saint Louis Aug. 24. Fifth-year senior Patrick Ber- neski scored the goal for Notre Dame in the 63rd minute, but the Billikens tied it up with 16 seconds to go. Notre Dame will face six top-25 teams in its next seven outings, starting with neutral site matches in Bloomington, Ind., versus No. 18 Connecticut Aug. 31 and No. 22 Dartmouth Sept. 2, followed by a road trip to unranked Syracuse Sept. 7. VOLLEYBALL (3-0, 0-0 ACC) Notre Dame started the season strong with a trio of 3-0 victories versus Weber State Aug. 24, and Toledo and Northern Kentucky Aug. 25 en route to capturing the Golden Dome Invitational title. Junior outside hitter Jemma Yeadon, freshman setter Zoe Nunes and senior libero Ryann DeJarld all took home all-tournament honors. The Irish returned to action against Oakland Aug. 31 and had a road matchup with Western Kentucky Sept. 2. — David McKinney Junior outside hitter Jemma Yeadon registered a team-high 27 kills to help the Fighting Irish notch three 3-0 victories to take home the Golden Dome Invitational title. Yeadon was one of three Notre Dame players to earn a spot on the all-tournament team.
