From The Locker Room Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly … On what he can take away from the loss: "Well, I think it's easy to look at the positives. First of all, it sets a bar for your entire program. We all now know what we have to do to move from where we are, which is a 12-0 football team, pretty darned good football team, but not good enough. So it's clear what we need to do in the offseason, it's clear what we need to do in player development, it's clear what we need to do to continue to coach better and recruit. "It's a great, great opportunity that we had here. It's disappointing we lost the football game, but it's going to make my job very easy when it comes to talking to players about how you win a national championship." Notre Dame junior nose guard Louis Nix III … On not being able to stop the Crimson Tide offense: "I honestly felt like Alabama had the best horses. I was just going my hardest every play, and next year I don't think there will be any guys better than them. They are fantastic. "I just want to have every chance I can to go against the best o-line in the country. That is going to make me better. We are just going to keep working and get ready for next year." Notre Dame fifth-year senior Kapron Lewis-Moore … Junior Louis Nix III was extremely impressed with the Alabama offense and says the Crimson Tide should be the team to beat again in 2013. photo by bill panzica On what went wrong for the Irish defense: "We didn't play Notre Dame football. It was evident that we missed a lot of tackles out there; I wouldn't say that Alabama really dominated the line of scrimmage. "We just missed a lot of tackles. A lot of guys were out of their gaps. We didn't get pushed back five yards or anything like that."
