The Wolfpack women's golf program has been built around seniors Laura Kowohl, Naomi Ko and In- dia Clyburn over the last few years. Head coach Page Marsh has high hopes for the group, who will be bolstered by sopho- more Monika Hartl plus juniors Wassawan "Mim" Sangkapong and Christina Lu. Freshman Lee Klimentova, who arrives from Slovakia, and Nicole Kramer, who hails from Charlotte, bolster the depth. NC State posted the second-lowest tour- nament score in program history at the NCAA San Francisco Regional last year with a 19-over-par 883, finishing 13th out of 18 squads. The Wolfpack tied for eighth at the ACC Championships, with Kowohl pacing the squad with a 12th-place finish. Four of the five golfers who competed at ACCs return this season, and the Wolfpack received one vote for the Women's Golf Coaches Association top 25. "I'm excited about the year that is ahead and I see everyone making progress and moving forward," Marsh said. "We do have three seniors upon who we rely. "It's fun to see them have a joyful year, and I've enjoyed watching them have fun. They are enjoying the things you should in college." Kowohl tied for eighth overall at the NCAA Regional last year after posting a 3-under-par 213. She finished in a tie for the third individual spot not on a team that qualified for the NCAA Championships. Current senior Naomi Ko was tied for 17th individually. • Tar Heel Casa De Campo at La Romana, Domini ‑ can Republic, March 15‑16: Suzy Whaley, who is the President of the PGA of America, helped put together this event in the Dominican Republic, and she is a former college teammate of NCSU head coach Page Marsh at North Carolina.
