O C T O B E R   2 4 ,   2 0 1 8 B L U E W H I T E O N L I N E . C O M 18 Rivals100 prospect Mark-Antony Richards has set a date for his official visit to Penn State. Richards, a native of Palm Beach, Fla., has a longstanding rela- tionship with Nittany Lion running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider. That relationship sparked his interest in taking an official visit to Penn State, which is now set to take place this weekend, Oct. 27- 28, for the game against Iowa. "Coach Seider is just a real straight-up guy," said Richards, the nation's second- ranked all-purpose running back. "I know he's not going to tell me anything that's wrong or not true. He was actually the first guy to offer my brother, so I've known him for a real long time now, going back to sixth grade. "The fact that he's from the same area my family is from is also nice. I just know I can relate to him on everything. The connec- tion is there, so he's definitely a coach who I would love to play for someday. Also, Coach [James] Franklin and the whole coaching staff are great people, so when I go up there for the Iowa game, I plan on re- ally taking everything in." In addition to meeting with Seider, Franklin and the rest of the coaching staff, Richards said that there are plenty of other things he's looking to learn. "I would say that one of the main things is how I'm going to be utilized," he said. "They're very creative on offense. I saw all the ways they used Saquon Barkley during his time there, so I want to learn more on how they see me fitting into their offense. "But I also know that they're a very pres- tigious school. They're very high on aca- demics, so that's something I want to learn more about. Obviously, I want to get a great education. I've also heard a ton of stuff about their fans, especially following that White Out game. I heard it was a crazy at- mosphere, so I'm looking forward to seeing all of that. But I would say that probably the main thing is how I'm going to be uti- lized. I think that's pretty important. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of plan their coaches have for me." Following his visit to Penn State, Richards is planning to take an official visit to Florida on Nov. 3. He knows he'll also take an official visit to Miami in early De- cember, and Tennessee is another school he plans to officially visit. Richards' brother, Ahmmon, earned freshman All-America honors last season playing wide receiver at Miami. However, he suffered a serious neck injury in the sea- son opener against LSU, and the school an- nounced earlier this month that he's been forced to retire from football. The younger Richards earned Super 11 honors and was a first-team All-County selection by the South Florida Sun Sen- tinel. He's ranked No. 70 overall in the Ri- vals100 and is the 11th-ranked prospect in Florida for the Class of 2019. R Y A N   S N Y D E R | s N Y D E R 4 2 0 8 8 @ G M A I L .
