Nittany Lions overcome turnovers, miscues to hold off Iowa
It was beginning to look as though the last few
minutes of Penn State's game Saturday against
Iowa would be refreshingly drama-free. The Nit-
tany Lions were 9 yards away from taking a 17-
point lead over the Hawkeyes with less than 14
minutes to play.
But Penn State has been manufacturing more
drama lately than Netflix and HBO put together,
and true to form, Saturday's game turned into a
tense battle when it fumbled the ball away to Iowa
just as it appeared ready to take a commanding
lead, then followed that miscue with a pick-six on
its next possession.
The Nittany Lions have had their share of tense
