A week ago at Michigan, that defense did about as much as humanly possible to keep the Nittany Lions competitive in a game in which their offense was overwhelmed. This Saturday against Wisconsin, the defense did that and more, spearheading a bounce-back 22-10 vic- tory. Penn State held the Badgers to 269 yards, 71 of which came on a long touchdown burst by national rushing leader Jonathan Taylor on their third of- fensive play of the game. A>er Taylor's run, Wis- consin managed only a field goal in the game's final 49 minutes. Its 10 points were a season-low. "That's the fourth-ranked rushing offense in the country," coach James Franklin said.
