The NHL KYLE CONNOR IS ACCUMULATING POINTS AT A HIGH RATE IN 2018 Through the Winnipeg Jets' first 16 contests this season, Kyle Connor re- corded at least one point in 11 of them. Included in that stretch were two show- ings where he registered two, giving him 13 points through Nov. 12. The former Wolverine icer tallied 57 total points last season for Winnipeg and should reach similar marks if he continues at his current pace. Connor's 13 points are tied for the third most on the Jets' team. Caris LeVert • NBA In the waning seconds of a Nov. 9 contest with Denver, he dis- played a brilliant crossover move to shake Nuggets guard (and former MSU Spartan) Gary Harris, hitting a floater in the lane with just 0.3 seconds remaining to give Brooklyn a 112-110 win. Rich Hill • MLB The Los Angeles Dodgers hurler threw an absolute gem against the Red Sox in game four of the World Series Oct. 27, tossing six and one-third innings and only giving up one run. Despite depart- ing with his team holding a 4-0 lead, the bullpen blew the game and wound up losing 9-6, allowing Boston to claim the World Series title in five games.
