A number of top underclassmen made their way to the Bronx, N.Y., to see the game, including Kalel Mullings, a 2020 four-star Rivals100 outside linebacker from Milton (Mass.) Academy. Mullings visited Notre Dame Sept. 1 for the season opener against Michi- gan and has expressed significant interest in the Irish since picking up an offer from the coaching staff. Rivals rates Mullings as the No. 4 outside linebacker and the No. 82 overall player in the nation. Other visitors at the game included Notre Dame 2020 quarterback com- mit Drew Pyne of New Canaan (Conn.) High, 2020 tight end commit Kevin Bauman of Red Bank (N.J.) Catholic and three-star 2020 running back Tirek Murphy of Middle Village (N.Y.) Christ The King. • On Nov. 15, Notre Dame defensive end commit NaNa Osafo-Mensah was presented his All-American Bowl jersey at his school, Fort Worth (Texas) Nolan Catholic. Osafo-Mensah is one of four 2019 Irish commits that will play in the game, along with four-star safety Kyle Hamilton of Atlanta Marist, three- star offensive tackle Andrew Kristofic of Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland and punter Jay Bramblett of Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Hillcrest. Four-star offensive lineman Zeke Correll of Cincinnati Anderson will play in the Under Armour All-American Game. At the ceremony, Osafo-Mensah was sure to thank his parents for helping him achieve his goals. "They've driven me all over the country and gone with me to different camps and showcases," he said. "They've shown me the love and support that I need." • During the week of practice for the first playoff game of his senior sea- son, Notre Dame defensive tackle commit Hunter Spears suffered an ACL tear, the second of his career. Spears first tore his ACL while competing in a camp prior to his junior season and was sidelined the entire year. He will sit out the remainder of Sachse (Texas) High's playoff run, focus on his recovery, graduate in Decem- ber and enroll in Notre Dame in January. Spears is one of three 2019 defensive line commits planning to enroll early at Notre Dame, along with Osafo-Mensah and four-star defensive tackle Jacob Lacey of Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren. — Corey Bodden and David McKinney Follow @BGI_CoreyBodden and @BGI_DMcKinney on Twitter for daily recruiting updates available on BlueandGold.com!
