80 ■ THE WOLFPACKER ■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING OFFENSIVE TACKLE ZOVON LINDSAY Fayetteville (N.C.) Trinity Christian Trinity Christian went undefeated with a 7-0 regular season short- ened due to Hurricane Flor- ence, but was upset in the first round of the private schools playoffs. Lindsay had 20 tackles, three stops for loss, two sacks and a safety in the regular season. Like Ekwonu, he was named first-team all-state for private schools as an offensive lineman. Rivals.com lists him as a three-star pros- pect and the No. 47 player in the state. SAFETY KHALID MARTIN Kernersville (N.C.) East Forsyth High While leading East Forsyth to an un- blemished record in 12 games and into the quar- terfinals of the 4-A state playoffs, Martin had piled up 72 tackles (31 solo), two tackles for loss, two inter- ceptions, three passes bro- ken up, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and three blocked punts. He has also returned a kickoff for a touchdown and hauled in a receiving score. Martin is among the nine Wolfpackers invited to the Shrine Bowl. Rivals.com ranks him as a three-star recruit, the No. 32 player in the state and the No. 55 safety nationally. OFFENSIVE LINEMAN TIMOTHY MCKAY Raleigh Wakefield One year after Wakefield went 0-11, McKay helped lead a turn- around to a 5-7 record that included a berth in the 4-AA state playoffs, where it lost in the first round. Rivals.com ranks McKay as a three-star prospect, the No. 35 player in North Carolina and the No. 29 offensive guard in the country. OFFENSIVE LINEMAN DYLAN MCMAHON Savannah (Ga.) Christian School McMahon has been active on both sides of the ball to help his team reach the semifinals of the private schools Class A state playoffs with an 11-1 record. He will likely play center for the Wolfpack, but he has piled up 77 tackles, 10 stops for loss, four sacks, 10 quarter- back hurries, a forced fumble and one pass broken up on defense.
