felt as though he was going to commit to
either Penn State or Texas. Both schools
earned o=cial visits from Cain in No-
vember.
Depending on how many scholarships

praise for the sta<. However, his recruit-
ment didn't pick up until halfway through
the season, so he was planning to take his
time, visit a few more schools and then
decide in February.
At defensive tackle, the Lions were pri-
marily focused on Jared Hunte, a three-
star prospect from Middle Village, N.Y.,
and D'Von Ellies, a four-star prospect
from Owings Mills, Md. Throughout No-
vember, Penn State was believed to be the
favorite to sign both players, but that was
before several other programs began tar-
geting them late in the recruiting cycle.
Alabama, Miami and Michigan all ex-
tended oer visiting Arizona State and Ohio
State, he took his third o=cial visit to
Penn State Dec. 7-9, before electing to use
his fourth o=cial to check out Miami the
following weekend. Hunte was expected
to wait and use his ;nal o=cial visit in
January to see either Alabama or Michi-
