PSU working to finish 2019 class Nittany Lions head into February signing day with openings for linemen, receivers | P enn State signed 18 prospects last month, but the Class of 2019 is far from 5nished. James Franklin told the media in December that there's "a lit- tle bit of wiggle room le8," hinting that the sta6 sits in a good position with a handful of players. It's no secret that the Nittany Lions still need to add multiple defensive linemen and at least one more o6ensive lineman. The sta6 would also like to sign another wide receiver. OFFENSE DEMARIYON HOUSTON SCHOOLS Penn State, Alabama, Col- orado, Nebraska THE LATEST Houston, a four-star re- ceiver from Oklahoma City, committed to Texas last July but backed out of that pledge in early December. He took an of- ficial visit to Minnesota about a week later, but the Golden Go- phers no longer appear to be in the mix. Houston was expected to take offi- cial visits to Nebraska (Jan. 18-20) and Colorado (Feb. 1-3). Like Penn State, Alabama is making a late push here, and Houston does have two official visits remaining. However, if he goes through with the visits listed above, he will have just one week- end left in the contact period. As of this writing, it was unclear what he planned to do Jan. 25-27. DAWAND JONES SCHOOLS Penn State, Auburn, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, USC THE LATEST Penn State extended an o6er to the three-star o6ensive lineman in mid-December, but he's been speaking with Franklin and Matt Limegrover for about three months now. He's already used four of his o7cial visits, the most recent of which was to Ohio State, Jan. 12- 14.
