4 THE WOLVERINE APRIL 2019 READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL Dear The Wolverine, I look forward to the upcoming Wolverine football season. I think they will have the best receiver group in the NCAA. I do not look forward to the inevitable media narrative about Jim Harbaugh, nor do I look forward to Harbaugh's naysayers. I won't ask you to get over the OSU loss, just get over yourself. Before you raise the bar too high, ask your- self if you can match Harbaugh's achievements. He beat OSU twice under Bo. You're lucky to have him! I think the skeptics should be con- centrating on the NCAA changing the College Football Playoff from four to eight, that's who's been sit- ting on the ball too much. Bryant V. Here is my unpop- ular opinion — by Big Ten play, Tru Wilson is fourth on the depth chart behind Turner, Zach Charbonnet and Hassan Haskins. The staff really likes Haskins' ability. thedude2403 • It'll be heavily by committee. I think Charbonnet will be the leading rusher with Turner a close second. Lummy78 • Turner most likely, but I'm hoping it will be a big glass of Charbonnet! bluestud • I agree on Turner. I really think he's going to explode this season. Amaizingblue • By game three or four, it will be Charbonnet and he won't look back. Tabularasa • I think the majority agree that we will take a RB by committee approach. I think Turner leads us in rushing, fol- lowed by Charbonnet. I think Ben Mason should be employed as more of a H-back role, where he will shift from RB, FB to a TE type position. In this role, he should lead the RBs in receptions. If it's Wilson, we're in trouble. He's great for depth and should have a role, but does not have enough burst to be a lead back in the Big Ten. Just my opinion. BiggerFasterStronger • I am hoping it is Turner, followed by Charbonnet. We need to start building a quality lineage where one follows the next like an Alabama. From what I saw at the Peach Bowl, Turner looks fast and explosive, but needs game reps to get a comfort level in real college competition. BlueNBama • Wilson was my first reaction, too, but after thinking about it Turner is my pick. I am hoping Wilson gets some good run this fall. … He's done really well when given the opportunity. VinceBean • Missing the spring will hurt Char- bonnet, but hopefully he is as good as advertised. Dalemac From Our Website Freshman running back Zach Charbonnet was ranked among the top 101 recruits nationally by all three major recruiting ser- vices, giving fans high hopes for his debut campaign.
