All of us owe Manti Te'o for the wins and lessons that we have received from him. Mr. Te'o, I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors in the National Football League. You are my 6-year-old son's hero, and I find pride and solace that my son has chosen a person such as yourself to look up to. You have laid the foundation of what Notre Dame fans have been longing for. You have managed to bring back the Renaissance of what Notre Dame football should be. It is our turn to give back to you. To those who don't believe Manti was duped, have you ever heard of Bernie Madoff? He cheated a lot of very educated people out of hundreds of millions of dollars with his Ponzi scheme. It's amazing the media went after Manti harder than they pursued Benghazi. It's no different than some of the poison aimed at Tim Tebow. It's unfortunate a good kid like Manti had to go through this. I would be very happy having a friend like Manti. Matt Hart Trenton, Mich. Tears Of Joy To Dream Again I cried standing atop the stairs of section 202 in Sun Life Stadium. The buzz and energy of the crowd eagerly awaiting the release of a 24-year buildup. The perfect green Florida grass, and an end zone marked by two words I never thought I'd see again in a championship format: "Notre Dame." And I cried because the mediocrity of the Bob Davie years, the smoke and mirrors of the Ty Willingham years, the unfulfilled promises and rock bottom devastation of the Charlie Weis years finally caught up with me. That stretch of failure was behind us. The glorious future was here! And I cried because over the past four months, from Dublin to South Beach, I have witnessed firsthand that impossible could be possible. That "experts" and predictions were wrong.
