It took nearly 40 years, but he finally made it.
On Feb. 2, at the site of Super Bowl XLVII in New
Orleans, it was announced that former Penn State
All-America defensive end Dave Robinson had been
selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Robinson, who parlayed his great college career
into a starring role with the Green Bay Packers in
the 1960s, said he had always thought he deserved
to be enshrined in Canton, Ohio. But he wasn���t
sure he would receive the honor in his lifetime.
���After a while, you really start to appreciate what
it���s like to be in the Hall of Fame,��� Robinson told
the Journal Sentinel of Milwaukee. ���You want to
get here in the worst way. With that and with my
age and being a senior candidate, I don���t have a
