The backup quarterback ��� Junior Devin Gardner emerged as a viable backup to Denard Robinson after redshirt freshman Russell Bellomy struggled in the role in a loss at Nebraska in 2012. But what happens if Gardner goes down in 2013? The coaches haven���t given up on Bellomy ��� though it���s clear his confidence took a hit ��� but he���d have to prove he can handle the adversity that comes with the position. Incoming freshman Shane Morris is another viable option, but he���s still got plenty to learn. At this point, it���s hold your breath and hope that Gardner makes it through the year unscathed. 2. Fitz Toussaint���s leg ��� The fifthyear senior-to-be had a significant surgery after breaking his leg against Iowa, and even though he hadn���t come close to duplicating his 2011 success ��� 514 yards and 4.0 yards per carry in parts of 10 games, compared to 1,041 yards a year earlier ��� he���s Michigan���s most explosive and experienced back. Getting him back healthy in 2013 could provide a boost to an offense in need of playmakers. 3.
