profile of what we want at Michigan. Tom Lemming Of Prep Football Report: I think he is one of the big sleepers in the class. He is a tackling machine. Hes a big, physical inside linebacker a typical Michigan linebacker. He reminds me of A.J. Hawk, who played at Ohio State. Senior Season: Notched more than 1,300 yards of offense and 14 touchdowns as a senior running back Also manned the linebacker position and earned Associated Press first-team Division I All-Ohio honors Named to the U.S. Under-19 National Team. Junior Season: Carried 196 times for 1,418 yards and scored 27 touchdowns Also notched 120 tackles at linebacker Named first-team Division l all-state on defense. Sophomore Season: Earned third-team all-state honors after notching 105 tackles and five sacks Registered 500 rushing yards, 300 receiving yards and 300 passing yards on offense. Freshman Season: Saw most of his game action at tight end. All-Star Games And Camps: Attended the Michigan camp over last summer and Penn State the previous year Participated in the February International Bowl in Austin, Texas, notching 2.5 tackles and a tackle for loss in the U.S. teams 42-10 win over the World team Will play for the North in the Ohio North-South All-Star Game April 27. Other Sports: Has played three years at center on the Hudson varsity basketball team, averaging around 8.0 points and 8.0 rebounds against taller athletes at the position. High School GPA: 4.2 on a 4.0 scale. Planned Major: Business. Favorite Michigan Athlete: Tom Brady. Favorite Pro Player: Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews. Other Schools Considered: Ohio State and Stanford. Date Of Official Visit To Michigan: Dec. 14. Why Gedeon Chose Michigan: I liked Michigan more than the others because of the combination of academics, coaching and tradition none of the other schools had. The coaches were one of biggest reasons. I believe in what they are trying to do there, and they definitely did a great job recruiting me. Head Coachs Comments: Ben catches on quickly you dont have to repeat anything over and over, Hudson head coach Ron Wright said. Whatever I or our coordinator might say, he just does it. He understands the game, has been around long enough to grasp the little nuances of the game that a kid who hasnt been around wouldnt know. He plays with a fervor, like you want the game to be played. Hes tough, and he plays to win.
