football recruiting issue primarily defense at Michigan, his ability to be a playmaker with the ball in his hands leaves his high school coaches hoping hell have the opportunity to continue playing offense and special teams while at Michigan. Although he can be a boom-or-bust offensive threat, the booms are too exciting and too frequent to take that weapon out of his arsenal. Hes probably the most athletic, most versatile and athletic guy weve had in the past several years at Cass, Wilcher said. I know Michigan wants him to play cornerback, but I like him on offense. I like him at wide receiver. Hes one of those types of kids that will attack the ball. Hell go get it. Of course, even if he doesnt get the opportunity to have Michigan scheme the ball into his hands, its only a matter of time before his ballhawking ability on the other side of the ball makes it happen. He can play defense and he can anticipate where balls are going, and he got a hell of a lot better at keying this year, Crowell said. Hes a gambler, so his technique is not where it should be. He counts on his athletic ability, and thats typically where he makes plays. That ability to make plays is what landed him at his dream school, and Wolverines fans will be more than happy to see him continue to excel while wearing the winged helmet. Tim Sullivan
