Iowa didn���t really throw that much to receivers, they really threw it to the tight end, but the DBs did good, though.��� Stribling played at Butler for three years. When he came to his first workout the summer before his sophomore year, Hales and his coaching staff had the same instant reaction that Hoke and Co. did. ���We knew early on that he was going to be different,��� Hales said. ���He came up here at the end of his freshman year. His family moved up from Alabama. He was able to come right into the offseason workouts, and right away I remember the coaches coming up and saying: ���This kid is going to be a good one.��� He just continued to improve from there. ���He���s extremely athletic. He was a huge weapon for us on the offensive side of the ball, but he is the kind of kid that is very versatile ��� if he decided to be a Division I basketball player, he would have been a Division I basketball player. That���s the kind of athlete he is.��� Stribling did a little bit of everything on the football field for Butler, playing primarily cornerback on defense and as a safety in certain situations. He was also an offensive weapon. Over his three seasons, he racked up 1,310 receiving yards on 77 receptions (17.0 yards per catch) and rushed 36 times for 283 yards (7.9 yards per catch), scoring 25 total touchdowns. ���I think they���re going to start him out at corner,��� Hales said. ���The one thing that really attracted them to him was his frame.
