He was named first-team AllOhio Division IV as a junior linebacker (making 99 tackles, eight for loss with two sacks, and intercepting a pass), while also starring at tight end, fullback, and running back for the Red Devils. A 4.0 student, Ferns plans to enroll early and pursue a pre-med major. He is Rivals.com���s No. 84 player nationally. QB Wilton Speight Richmond (Va.) Collegiate School Speight pledged to Michigan immediately after receiving an offer Feb. 6, 2013 (National Signing Day for the 2013 class). The 6-6, 220-pound quarterback threw for 2,500 yards and 29 touchdowns, but is also athletic enough that he ran for more than 300 yards and four more touchdowns. He has already picked up the mantle that Shane Morris left behind as an unofficial recruiter for Michigan. DT Bryan Mone Salt Lake City Highland The most recent U-M pledge, Mone is a former teammate of sophomore Wolverine fullback Sione Houma. The 6-4, 315-pounder was the first prospect offered by Brady Hoke���s staff in the 2014 class, when he was just a 245-pound defensive end during his sophomore season. He has grown into a nose tackle at the college level, but still plays end for Highland, where his quickness and power allowed him to rack up 75 tackles with 12 of them for loss and five sacks. He is Rivals.com���s No. 172 player nationally.
