And then, in an instant, the Maize and Blue turned their attention to the 2014 recruiting class, knowing their work in bringing U-M back to a championship level is far from complete. Over the next 12 months, the Wolverines must be more selective than in the past two years; after signing 52 prospects in 2012-13, Michigan will be limited to 14-18 in 2014. U-M has already promised three of those spots, accepting verbal commitments from linebacker Michael Ferns, quarterback Wilton Speight and, most recently, defensive tackle Bryan Mone, each addressing a need at their respective position.
