This month we asked followers how Michigans fifth-ranked signing class has impacted their expectations for the 2013 football season. Nicholas Alexander: Not much outside of a possible boost at running back. If the offensive and defensive lines step up, we will make a solid run at the Big Ten title. Josh DeMille: Im more interested to see what the 2012 kids are going to do now that theyve sat and learned for a year because its very rare for a kid to come in and make an impact as a true freshman. But Derrick Green should give the running game a boost, and safety Dymonte Thomas could get some run in the secondary. Other than that, I dont expect to see any of these kids in more than sub duty. V Jay Ojeda: I think it impacts the direction of the program more than next season. Barry Eyestone: Running game should add more options. The last time two freshmen started in the backfield Michigan did very well for four years Chad Henne and Mike Hart. Jaye Turner: Big Ten championship! Jeremiah White: I think we are making strides. Even though I hate Ohio State I think Michigan and Ohio State have recruits heading to the Big Ten and not the SEC, and that is a big step in the right direction for the conference. Richard Caudle: Shane Morris is going to be really good. Derrick Green is going to be an All-American, and stealing Dymonte Thomas from Ohio State hell be a hard-hitting safety. I love this class.
