unselfish and anything hed want me to do, thats what Ill do. Edwards reiterated his love for the Boilermakers, though U-M is still right in the mix. Theyre so high at the top of my interest in colleges its ridiculous, Edwards said. Its a great college, a great atmosphere. You have to love it. The fans are really into it. Its a really good place to be. At the top its still Purdue and Michigan, and now Minnesota is showing a lot of interest in me. But at the top of the food chain, its still Purdue. Edwards plans to decide before the start of his senior season. Long Beach (Calif.) Poly small forward Kameron Chatman (6-6, No.38 player nationally), meanwhile, remains on the board, having recently trimmed his list to eight schools: UCLA, Connecticut, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Louisville, Georgetown and Michigan. The first five have offered, and Chatman would be a solid bet to receive a U-M offer with a visit. Chatman has spent the year with the Poly junior varsity because he was ruled ineligible after transferring from his home state of Oregon. I just felt that it was time to trim it down a little going into playoffs just so I can focus on my team more, said Chatman, who added that he is not sure of his next step. Im pretty sure I wont be taking any official visits until the start of my senior year. Finally, another 2014 target has emerged in recent weeks, as well. Anton Beard, a 5-10 junior point guard from Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview, committed to Missouri last summer but announced via Twitter he was opening his recruitment back up. His AAU coach, Norton Hurd, explained his parents wanted him to explore all of his options before he gave a solid pledge. Beard, Rivals.coms No. 75 player in the 2014 class, will consider Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Kansas, Georgia tech, LSU and Michigan. A combo guard who can fill it up from all three levels and excels at scoring off the dribble, Beard is a tough competitor who somehow finds a way to will shots into the basket, Rivals.com reported in the summer. Hes slippery off the bounce and even better around the rim as he finds ways to curl around bigger defenders to score and draw the foul. He also is a more than reliable shooter from downtown he also showed the ability to make plays for his teammates as a passer. Class Of 2013 Signees Continue To Impress Michigans class of 2013 signees continue to play well, led by Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern small forward Zak Irvin. The 6-6 Irvin, Rivals.coms No. 34 senior prospect nationally, moved up to No. 24 in the ESPN.com rankings and is a favorite for his states Mr. Basketball Award. Hed follow former teammate and current MSU freshman Gary Harris as the winner, marking the first time in the states rich basketball history Mr. Basketball went to a player from
