The St. Clair, Mich., native led his high school to a state championship in 2011, pitching a complete game threehitter en route to clinching the state championship. In his senior year, he went 10���1 and piled up 95 strikeouts. Cronenworth can throw in the upper 80s, and features a bending curveball that can keep hitters offbalance. When he���s not starting, he���ll be expected to patrol second base, where he displays a strong arm and quick movement with his feet and glove. ���There���s talent for sure,��� Bakich said. ���But we���re a very young team. There are going to be some growing pains for us, and there will be a figuring it out period. Hopefully by April or May, they won���t feel like freshmen anymore.
