inside michigan athletics about the country, but Id really like to immerse myself in the culture down there. I want to assimilate a little bit of their identity. Favorite Pro Athlete: Carmelita Jeter, the U.S. track and field Olympian. I have always loved track. I really admire track athletes, because they put so much into it. Its a team sport, but there is so much individual drive, and it shows how tough the mind game be, how one person can do something great. And I think she has done that. Other Sports She Enjoys Playing: I like running track, and that is pretty much it. Im not really into sports outside of basketball and track. Major: Art and design. AfricanAmerican art is really interesting to me right now. I dont do to much of it right now, but I am trying to get involved in it. What She Wants To Do After Basketball: I want to be an artist, and I want to give back to young kids. I will sacrifice whatever to help them. Most Memorable Athletic Moment: When we beat Michigan State [Feb. 16], for the first time in my career. That was an amazing experience. Her Overall U-M Experience: It has been awesome. I couldnt have gone anywhere else and lived this basketball dream. When I was a little kid, I used to think about playing college basketball, and now that is real. And its at Michigan, where so many great athletes have come before me. Its been incredible. Andy Reid By The Numbers 12 Michigans preseason football rank for 2013, according to ESPN, up from No. 23, after taking into account National Signing Day results. 17 Top-20 national recruits that have signed with the Wolverines since top-100 lists were first published in 1997, including five-star Derrick Green, who ranks as the top running back (No. 1 in the nation according to Rivals.com) to ever ink with the Maize and Blue. 37 Top-10 matchups Michigan basketball has played in program history, including three this year (versus Indiana, Ohio State and Michigan State). U-M is 20-17 in those contests. 63 Total league games (up from 48) the Big Ten will play in 2014 if it increases its intra-conference schedule from eight to nine contests.
