followed by Tuley-Tillmans pledge. Butt: I was getting texts from all the other guys theres the first guy to commit, theres No. 2, theres No. 3, so I was aware it was happening. I was actually trying to step away from it all because Michigan was my first really good visit and experience, and I wanted to figure some things out on my own and talk to my family. Once I talked to the coaches after committing, they told me we had a big weekend and told me who we had gotten. That was exciting, but it wasnt like I wanted to be a part of something that day. I knew guys were committing, but that didnt influence my decision. If I hadnt come off that visit, I would have waited. But it was such a great visit, and I was so sure. Tuley-Tillman: I talked to Coach Hoke and Coach Funk. I just told them that I came to the realization that I wanted to be a Michigan Wolverine and commit to play for them. Coach Funk was really funny, he said he was happy he was sitting down. Coach Hoke was real loud and excited, and his wife was going crazy, she was yelling about it in the background and you could hear how happy they were. Theres just one quote that really summarizes all of it: This is Michigan. Its the pageantry, the history, and all the success theyve had. Theres a lot of people that can try to compete against it, but nobody can come close to it. For Michigan fans, the weekend was a spontaneous explosion of exciting recruiting news. For Michigan coaches, there was a mixture of surprise, delight and expectation, because of the groundwork that had been laid. Recruiting coordinator Jeff Hecklinski: Being at Michigan, obviously we get a jumpstart on our recruiting a year ahead. If were doing this right, Offensive lineman Logan Tuley-Tillman offered his commitment to Michigan on Sunday Feb. 19, 2012. photo by lon horwedel
