������ michigan recruiting Fast Start For 2014 Like the 2013 class, Michigan is building early momentum for 2014. The Wolverines have three commitments already, and February junior visit days could see that number continue to grow before spring ball hits. Although he���s currently unranked, Richmond (Va.) Collegiate School signal-caller Wilton Speight has impressed longtime quarterbacks guru Steve Clarkson. The lack of rankings doesn���t dissuade Clarkson from predicting an NFL future for Speight. ���His football IQ is very high, and he���s just deadly accurate,��� Clarkson said. ���Probably the biggest thing is just his command. Some guys just walk the walk and you just know they have that ���it,��� the thing you can���t teach. That���s what he has. This is a kid that I think plays on Sundays, that���s how good he is. I don���t throw that around that often, but this kid, I think he plays on Sundays.��� The 6-6, 220-pound Speight picked Michigan immediately after receiving a Michigan offer Feb. 6 and has already put in work on the recruiting trail. He���s been in contact with players from around the country, encouraging them to follow him to Ann Arbor. The highest-rated member of Michigan���s class so far is St. Clairsville (Ohio) linebacker Michael Ferns. The 6-3, 240-pounder pledged Aug. 9, shortly after returning home from Michigan���s annual ���Barbecue at the Big House��� recruiting event.
