football recruiting issue ketball team is having, and that just motivates me even more for our season, and doing what I can to help us win a Big Ten title, he said. Its pretty awesome to be here, and to be a part of this place. Outside of a few pickup games at one of the gyms on campus, Charlton and Butt will no longer have the chance to battle on the hardcourt, but their head-to-head matchups will not cease. A weakside rush end, Charlton will have to go through or around the tight end to reach the quarterback during practices for the next four years. No matter the sport, it was always a lot of fun to go up against Jake because he was such a great player, and I had respect for him, and he respected me, Charlton said. Im really excited that hes on my team now because I know what hes capable of, and Im excited to see him against our opponents. In practice, hes going to make me better and Im going to make him better. Weve been going at it our entire careers, and bragging rights have been on the line, but itll be good that were playing for the same side now because I know just how big of a difference he can make, Butt added. Taco is a guy that just wont stop. He goes all out an entire game whether its football or basketball, and is willing to do whatever it takes to win. Those are the kind of teammates you want. Michael Spath
