from our readers Jeff McMahon is one outstanding young man leading this band. He has helped me tremendously when I needed something. I am more than pleased to pledge a donation in his name to the band. I am not rich, but I would like to do something for this band. After the game, I was so happy to meet Jordan Kovacs and Craig Roh. Jordan has written to me several times in the last three years, thanking me for my letters supporting the football team. I am hoping to come to Ann Arbor in September and attend a game in Hartford, Conn. I cant believe this team is coming to Connecticut. Dick Patten Concord, N.H. Dick, the wrestling team appreciates you and your loyal support. Please check the January issue of The Wolverine, where youll find a three-page feature on that sport, which has obviously been very good at Michigan for a very long time. Sorry you didnt get assistance immediately for the Air Force game, but certainly glad you were ultimately given good care. Michigans ushers and employees in and around the various event venues have been instructed to make a great effort at being welcoming and helpful, and in the vast majority of instances have done so. Offensive Line Issues Dear The Wolverine: I dont believe enough has been said of the inadequacy of the offen- around. My good friend usclawblue will tell you based on sources that are as credible as it gets, that their being in different divisions is/was critical to the B1G Championship game TV contract. However, I think were going to find out shortly here that it isnt as critical as was initially assessed, now that some folks are more interested in presenting the counter case. Interesting theater. KevinWerner Having them in the same division makes The Game more important, in my opinion. Just think how big the MSU game was supposed to be this year (until they lost so many games). Got to think most years U-M and OSU will have a shot to win the division on that last game of the year. Unlike prior years, when both teams could split a title. Even if one team has one loss and the other team is undefeated, the winner will win the division. Theres a lot on the line, similar to LSU-Alabama recently. Playing OSU two games in a row isnt something I want to see. It would, no doubt, lessen the final game in some years, depending on records, etc. It could potentially be meaningless for both teams. I remember all those games in the 90s where we knocked off No. 1 or No. 2 OSU in the final game can you imagine if we had to play them again after some of those epic games? Doesnt interest me. I guess I wouldve wanted another
