www.BLUEANDGOLD.com JUNE/JULY 2019 15 ues to be true about drop end Justin Ademilola — Jayson's twin brother — is despite lacking the frame (6-2, 250) or top-level athleticism of his position mates, he consistently pro- duces when he gets on the field. Sophomore Ovie Oghoufo moved to drop end after playing linebacker as a freshman. While he likely needs another year of strength develop- ment, his speed and pass-rushing prowess turned heads. Nose tackle Ja'Mion Franklin in- curred a devastating quad tendon injury in September, and his return date remains a question. If he can get healthy enough to provide snaps this fall it would give the interior a boost. SEEKING SECONDARY SUCCESS After playing safety and nickel as a freshman, Houston Griffith was moved back to cornerback in the spring. He spent most of the practice sessions playing the boundary posi- tion vacated by Julian Love, but late in the spring he moved to the field, where he could end up in the fall. Griffith is a long and physical de- fender who sometimes struggles playing man coverage. If he can im- prove in that area during the fall he will earn a major role on the defense, Wide receiver Kevin Austin, who played in 11 games and caught five passes for 90 yards as a true freshman, is part of a talented group of second-year pass catchers.
