Compher (2014-16), LW, Colorado Avalanche: Participated in all 12 of Colo- rado's playoff games, logging four goals and two assists while standing plus-1 … The Avalanche fell to San Jose 4-3 in the second round. • Kyle Connor (2015-16), LW, Winnipeg Jets: Finished at minus-1 with three goals and two assists in six play- off contests … The Jets fell to St. Louis 4-2 in the first round. • Andrew Copp (2013-15), C, Winnipeg Jets: Finished plus-5 with no goals and five assists after seeing time in all six of Winnipeg's playoff af- fairs, but the Jets were elimi- nated in round one. • Phillip Di Giuseppe (2011-14), LW, Nashville Predators: Was not included on the Nashville's roster for the postseason, which ended with a 4-2 series loss to Dallas in the first round. • Carl Hagelin (2008-11), LW, Washington Capitals: Finished the postseason mi- nus-1 with no goals and one assist in Washington's 4-3 first-round series loss to Carolina. • Zach Hyman (2012-15), C, To- ronto Maple Leafs: Wound up mi- nus-3 with one goal and no assists in seven playoff affairs (Toronto fell to Boston 4-3 in the first round), before suffering an ACL tear April 25 that will keep him out six months. • Jack Johnson (2006-07), D, Pitts- burgh Penguins: Played in three of Pittsburgh's games during its 4-0 se- ries loss at the hands of New York in the first round, finishing minus-3. • Steven Kampfer (2007-10), D, Boston Bruins: Held an even plus/ minus with one goal in just two play- off contests for Boston, which owned a 1-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals over St. Louis. • Jon Merrill (2011-13), D, Vegas Golden Knights: Finished minus-1 with no goals and no assists after par- ticipating in all seven tilts of Vegas' first-round series loss to San Jose. • Max Pacioretty (2007-08), LW, Vegas Golden Knights: Concluded the playoffs at plus-1 with five goals and six assists after seven postseason showdowns, but the Knights were eliminated in the first round. • Jacob Trouba (2013), D, Winni- peg Jets: Ended up plus-1 with an assist in six playoff tilts before the Jets were eliminated. • Zach Werenski (2015-16), D, Columbus Blue Jackets: Tal- lied one goal and five assists with a plus-3 grade in 10 postseason games … Colum- bus fell to Boston 4-2 in the second round. FORMER WOLVERINES IN THE NBA PLAYOFFS Through May 27 • Caris LeVert (Played at U-M from 2012-16), SG, Brooklyn Nets: Played in all five of Brooklyn's playoff games and made two starts against Philadelphia … Aver- aged 21.0 points, 4.6 boards and 3.0 assists per contest … The Nets were eliminated by the 76ers 4-1 in the first round. • Glenn Robinson III (2012-14), SF, Detroit Pistons: Saw action in three of the team's four playoff games ver- sus Milwaukee … Averaged 4.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12.0 minutes per outing … The Pistons lost their opening series 4-0 to the Bucks. • D.J. Wilson, PF (2015-17), Milwaukee Bucks: Played in eight of Milwaukee's 15 postseason contests … Averaged 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in 5.4 min- utes per game … The Raptors ended the Bucks' season with a 4-2 series triumph in the Eastern Conference Finals. ❏ Blake Countess • NFL The defensive back was claimed off waivers by the Philadel- phia Eagles May 3, after the Los Angeles Rams — he had spent the first three years of his NFL career with the team — waived him a day earlier. The Eagles, who announced Countess as a safety, originally selected him in the sixth round during the 2016 NFL Draft, but he was released before the start of his rookie campaign. Devin Bush Jr. • NFL The Florida native signed a four-year deal (with an option for a fifth year) worth $18,871,768 with the Pittsburgh Steelers May 13, marking the largest rookie contract the organization had ever handed out. Compher • NHL He put together a two-goal, one-assist performance in the Ava- lanche's 4-3 overtime playoff victory over San Jose May 6, which forced a decisive game seven in the series (the Sharks went on to win 3-2).
