Honors/accomplishments: Two-time first-team all-area selection Named the No. 6 prospect on the Orlando Sentinel Mideast Florida Super 60 squad Selected to play in the Nike Florida All-Star Game Also runs track. Recruitment: Paul was familiar with the new coaching staff at NC State from photo courtesy rivals.com when he took an official visit to Northern Illinois in September. However, his two favorites going into December were Louisville and Wake Forest, both of which had offered. Coaching changes led to an offer from Kentucky and more notably NC State. Given his strong relationship with the new Pack staff from their days at NIU, Paul quickly set up an official visit to NC State for Jan. 11, and at the end of his trip, along with fellow Vero Beach corner Dravious Wright, became the first verbal commitment for Dave Doeren at NCSU. Recruiter of record: Cornerbacks coach Richard McNutt. Dave Doeren on Paul: Sean is, in my opinion, one of the top corners in the state of Florida. Sean did a lot of things for Vero Beach. Sean is another guy who can return kicks. He plays with high energy, a high motor. Hes a very intelligent football player and has a great aptitude. Sean is a guy that will have the ability from a mental standpoint and a competitive standpoint to play early. I think thats something he wanted to do. Scouting report: Paul is a fluid athlete with long arms, impressive closing speed and good ball skills. He is also a willing tackler and has a tendency to look for the big hits. Hes shown good blitzing skills for a corner, and coverage skills on special teams. 2013 projection: Paul not only is a good corner prospect, but he showcased in high school that he can be an effective special teams coverage player as well. Because of that, Paul may have a chance to play as a true freshman. Fruit Cove (Fla.) Bartram Trail High 6-5 290 pounds Measurables: At a VTO Sports Rivals.com Elite 100 combine, ran the 40-yard dash in 5.45 seconds and the shuttle in 4.91 seconds Had a 26.0-inch vertical leap and did 28 reps at 185 pounds on the bench press. Stats: Helped Bartram Trail average 37.9 points and 350.2 yards of total offense per game, including 161.5 yards rushing, during an 8-3 campaign as a senior. Ratings: Given three stars by Rivals.com and regarded as the No. 28 offensive guard in the country and No. 94 player from Florida Rated three stars by 247Sports, the No. 34 guard in the nation and the No. 99 recruit from the state Listed by ESPN as a three-star recruit, the No. 89 guard in the photo courtesy rivals.com country and the No. 214 player from Florida Considered a threestar prospect and the No. 48 guard nationally by Scout.com Ranked No. 60 in the state by Florida Varsity. Honors/accomplishments: Played in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South Classic Named first-team Class 6A All-State by the Associated Press Listed on the Jacksonville Times-Union Florida Super 75 and rated as the third-best guard in the state Also on the TimesUnion Regional Super 24 list Picked for the All-First Coast team Becomes the sixth Bartram Trail offensive lineman to sign with an FBS school since 2004. Recruitment: Reagan picked up offers from Arkansas, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Kentucky, South Florida and Tennessee among others, but he narrowed his choices over the summer to Central Florida and NC State. The Knights were his leader until an unofficial visit to NCSU in June. He verbally committed to the Pack July 25. Recruiter of record: Running backs coach Des Kitchings. Dave Doeren in Reagan: Tylar is a tough kid, an all-state player and one of the top linemen in the state of Florida. He can play guard or tackle and he finishes blocks. His dad is a high school coach, and you always love getting a coachs kid: a guy who grew up with the game, understands it and the work that goes into it, how hard you have to grind to be great. Scouting report: Reagan is a better-than-youmight-expect athlete for an offensive linemen and, as Doeren noted, impressively finishes his blocks with a mean streak. 2013 projection: Reagan is intriguing because he has the skill set to be an offensive tackle, but has spent the majority of his high school career playing guard. If he can add strength, he may be ready to get on the field quicker than most offensive linemen, but it is probably a better bet that Reagan will redshirt. JuMichael Ramos WR Lovejoy (Ga.) High 6-3 190 pounds Measurables: Reportedly has a 30-inch vertical leap. Stats: Pulled in 44 receptions for 842 yards and five touchdowns as a senior Caught 16 passes for 217 yards and two scores as a junior. Ratings: Rated three stars by Rivals.com Listed as a three-star recruit, the No. 49 player in Georgia and the No. 72 receiver in the country by Scout.com Ranked as a three-star prospect, the No. 191 wideout nationally and the No. 137 recruit in Georgia by ESPN Given two stars by 247Sports and rated the No. 296 receiver in the country and No. 185 recruit in the state. Honors/accomplishments: Played in the inaugural High School Clash of Scholar Athletes game in January, featuring top players from metro-Atlanta against their counterparts from Palm Beach County in Florida Picked honorable mention All-State by the Georgia Sportswriters Association Selected to the first-team 2-AAAAAA All-Region team by the areas coaches Averaged 18 points a game as a junior in basketball and is averaging 17 a game thus far his senior season. Recruitment: Ramos originally committed to Georgia Tech Nov. 9 over offers from Cincinnati and South Florida among others. At photo courtesy rivals.com the time, he was on NC States recruiting board. When the new staff arrived in Raleigh, they made Ramos a priority, convinced him to officially visit Feb. 1 and then got him to switch his commitment Feb. 3. Recruiter of record: Wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson. Dave Doeren on Ramos: Hes a guy that plays basketball as well. A big receiver, big target, big hands, physical, and he comes from a really, really good football program. Scouting report: Ramos just dedicated himself to football this past summer. Prior to that he split his time, especially in the offseason, playing both football and basketball. Ramos is best known for his ability to stretch the field vertically. 2013 projection: There is an opportunity for the receivers in this class to get some early playing time. Ramos will be one of several that are ideal candidates to see action as a true freshman. 40 the wolfpacker 34-36,38-40,42-43.Recruiting Bios.indd 40 2/26/13 1:15 PM
