Red Wolf

T he red wolf, a species reintroduced into the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge
in North Carolina after near extinction. This beautiful member of the wolf family is
again roaming the woodlands of North Carolina and several sites throughout the south.
Numbers are steadily increasing and the hope of all involved in its restoration is that it
will once again play a role as a predator for which nature evolved it.
T homas A. Bennett is a renowned artist who has works in corporate and private
collections worldwide. His style emphasizes anatomical accuracy. It is
Bennett's hope that his work will inspire a heightened sense of awareness of
the world and its creatures, and foster a greater environmental stewardship.
