The Wolfpack finished tied for 13th with Texas, with a 39-over-par 1,191 at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn. ���PREVIEW woMen���s Golf Current junior Brittany Marchand led the way with an impressive 2-over 290 to finish tied for sixth, and sophomore teammate Augusta James tied for 38th with a 9-over 297. Junior Ana Menendez (tied for 84th), senior Amanda Baker (tied for 98th) and sophomore Vivian Tsui (tied for 106th) also competed for the Wolfpack at the NCAA Championships. ���They have that experience of playing a demanding course at nationals and handling that pressure,��� said NCSU women���s golf coach Page Marsh, who is in her 13th year. ���They work hard. Briele was a prep teammate of redshirt junior Carolina Ellington, who is a Park Scholar at NC State. Ellington competed in three tournaments for the Wolfpack in 2010-11. ��� Freshman Rachel Taylor, the lone first-year player on the squad, was born in Scotland, but moved to Germany as an infant. She settled in Bad Griesbach, Germany, where her father is the head golf professional at the local resort, but she has retained her Scottish accent while speaking fluent German.
