She finished in the top five in five events and edged Marchand in the playoffs to win the Cards Challenge last year. She was named to the All-ACC squad and was tabbed the ACC Freshman of the Year. James finished tied for 38th at the NCAA Championships with a 9-over-par 297. Senior Amanda Baker Baker, the lone senior on the roster, had a pair of top���20 finishes this past fall. She finished tied for ninth at the Tar Heel Invitational Oct. 12-14 and tied for 15th at the Landfall Tradition Oct. 26-28 in Wilmington, N.C. Baker, who is from Nanaimo, B.C., averaged 77.1 shots per 18 holes and 232.4 for 54 last year, and has improved upon both numbers through four events this season.
