High standout is ranked No. 11 in the country by Rivals.com and recently broke the Peninsula District scoring record, when he tallied 20 points against Newport News (Va.) Menchville High Feb. 12 to reach 1,981 career points. He broke the mark of former Wake Forest guard Tony Rutland. Barber���s bid to help Hampton repeat as Virginia AAA state champions came to an end Feb. 24. NCSU assistant coach Rob Moxley watched Barber score 26 points and make three three-pointers in a 67-60 loss to Chesapeake (Va.) Great Bridge High in the Eastern Region semifinals in Norfolk,Va.
