TIGHT ENDS TIGHT ENDS PLAYER BIOS POSITION COACH Sherrone Moore is in his second season as the Wolverines' tight ends coach. During Moore's first season mentoring the group, U-M saw an uptick in performance. The crew was led by Zach Gentry, who finished third on the team in receptions and receiv- ing yards, and earned a spot on the All-Big Ten third team before leaving for the NFL. Nick Eubanks and Sean McKeon also scored touchdowns and hauled in a combined 22 catches on the season. Moore came to U-M after coaching the previous four years at Central Michigan, where he developed a successful corps of tight ends that achieved at a high level. In his first year with the Chippewas in 2014, he coached a trio of tight ends that accumu- lated 48 catches for 617 yards and aided a rushing attack that averaged 155.2 yards per game. The next year, Moore's group was led by second- team All-MAC performer Ben McCord. He compiled 39 receptions for 612 yards and five touchdowns, and paced CMU in yards per catch (15.7). He also ranked sixth in the country in receiving yards among tight ends and set a single-game school record for the position when he recorded 10 catches against Syracuse. In 2016, tight end Tyler Conklin posted 560 receiv- ing yards and six touchdowns. Following the 2017 campaign, Conklin was selected to participate in the Senior Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine. Before bringing his talents to Central Michigan, Moore had a five-year stint at Louisville. He began as a graduate assistant and worked his way up to tight ends coach by his fourth year. In his two years as a full-time assistant, the Cardinals went 23-3 with a BCS bowl and Big East title in 2012. As a player, Moore was a member of the Okla- homa football team from 2006-07. He played in 14 games at offensive guard, while helping the Sooners win two Big 12 championships and advance to two BCS bowl games. RETURNING PLAYERS NICK EUBANKS • TE R-Jr. • Plantation, Fla.
