That leaves the Big 12 as the lone void, al‑ though Notre Dame did have two‑game series with league linchpins Oklahoma (2012‑13) and Texas (2015‑16) this decade. • Since 2015, the Mid‑American Conference has become an ideal one‑game filler for home games without requiring a return trip by Notre Dame. It began with UMass in 2015, continued with Miami (Ohio) in 2017 and Ball State in 2018, and going forward, includes Bowling Green in 2019, West‑ ern Michigan in 2020, Toledo in 2021, Marshall in 2022 and Northern Illinois in 2024. ✦
