JULY 2019 ■ 145 ■ BASKETBALL RECRUITING shot 56.1 percent from the field. NCSU coaches were able to watch Cole- man June 13-14, and while he was heavily questioned by the UVA media contingent all week, he also made it clear that he has enjoyed the recruiting relationship he has formed with the NC State staff. The Wolf- pack offered him on May 9, 2018. "I talk to Coach Keatts a lot, and Coach Johnson has been recruiting me really hard," Coleman said. "I've been down there a couple of times, and I really like the cam- pus and the guys." Coleman plans to cut his list of 20 schol- arship offers to a more manageable group of seven at some point in July. "I'd like to take those visits this coming fall," Coleman said. The Virginia football game Sept. 29 was the last time he unofficially visited NC State, and the trip made a strong impres- sion. "I just liked the atmosphere overall. Pack Nation, as they call it, really loves their school and support it a lot," Coleman said. "Just knowing I have that support behind me throughout college would be good." His father, Hank Coleman, was a defen- sive end at Virginia Tech from 1991-95, accumulating 183 career tackles and 13 sacks for the Hokies. Hank Coleman went into the archives and told his son that he was similar to for- mer North Carolina power forward George Power forward Henry Coleman of Richmond, Va. — a 6-7, 220-pounder — is ranked as the No. 47 prospect in the class of 2020.
