Under the Dome 7 Years since Notre Dame baseball had entered the national rankings ��� until this season, highlighted by defeating USC (2-1) and No. 10 Oklahoma (6-5, 11 innings) March 9 and 10, respectively, to improve to 10-3 and earn a No. 17 national ranking from Baseball America as of March 11. It was the first time the Fighting Irish defeated the Trojans and Sooners in football and baseball during the same academic year. 7 Notre Dame football���s aggregate 2013 preseason ranking by six major outlets (Athlon, CBS Sports, ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Sporting News and USA Today). The Fighting Irish have been ranked anywhere from No. 4 by Sporting News to No. 9 by ESPN, which bumped it up from No.�� 12 after National Signing Day in February. 20 Years since the Fighting Irish football team finished in the Associated Press top 10 in consecutive years, placing No. 4 in 1992 and No. 2 in 1993. Since then, its lone AP top-10 finish other than No. 4 last year (No. 3 in the BCS) was No. 9 in 2005. 35 Turnovers forced by No. 2 Notre Dame in its 96-87 tripleovertime victory at home versus No.��3 Connecticut March 4. It was the most turnovers ever in a game by the seven-time national champion Huskies. The Fighting Irish had 21 of their own in the contest, but the plus���14 advantage proved pivotal. 117-9 Notre Dame men���s basketball home record the past six years, dating back to the 2006-07 season, including 17-2 this past year. The .929 winning percentage is the second best over that time, behind only Kansas��� 122-5 mark (.961). Memphis, Duke and Ohio State round out the top five. The Fighting Irish and Jayhawks are the only two schools with three unbeaten seasons at home the past six years. $1,026,942 School base pay for Notre Dame athletics director Jack Swarbrick, according to USA Today.
