And remember, all newsletters and magazines are archived at bluewhiteonline.com. • APRIL 17 • APRIL 20 START YOUR ENGINES PSU begins spring practice as year two of the O'Brien era gets under way NAT E   BAU E R | NBAUER@BLUEWHITEONLINE.COM With snow falling and piling up in State College on Monday afternoon, Penn State head football coach Bill O'Brien addressed reporters in the Beaver Stadium media room in advance of the Nittany Lions' first official spring practice of 2013. Coming off an 8-4 season that somehow exceeded expectations yet simultaneously disappointed the first-year head coach, O'Brien said he was extremely excited to get back out on the practice field Monday afternoon. "I'm just excited to be off the banquet circuit and M A R C H 2 0 , 2 0 1 3 1 back on the field coaching," the budding comedian responded to one of the news conference's first questions. "Really, at the end of the day, what we all love to do is coach and be on the field and watch these guys improve from day to day. We really are fortunate because we work with a bunch of really good kids who work hard, who compete. So, the biggest thing is, we're just looking forward to getting out on the field." As O'Brien acknowledged, there are plenty of story lines that will inevitably dominate the 2013 spring B L U E W H I T E O N L I N E . C O M
