A Look Ahead Breaking Down The Wolverines' Likely Post-Spring Starters A By Andy Reid lthough the Michigan football coaches will learn plenty about their team through the 15 spring practice sessions, these are the players who will most likely separate themselves from the pack as starters by the end of spring. Class years listed are for the 2013 campaign.   Offense Wide Receiver: Fifth-year senior Jeremy Gallon 5-8, 187 pounds Gallon has been a reliable target the last two seasons, but he thrived once redshirt junior quarterback Devin Gardner took over the offense. With Gardner at the helm for the last five games of the season, Gallon averaged 6.2 catches for 102.2 yards per game. Backup: Sophomore Amara Darboh Wide receiver Jeremy Gallon upped his production last year when Devin Gardner took over at quarterback. Left Tackle: Fifth-year senior Taylor Lewan 6-8, 308 pounds The U-M offense got a huge boost when Lewan, pegged as one of the top offensive tackles in the 2013 NFL Draft if he left school, decided to return for his final year of eligibility. Lewan, with 35 career starts, will be the leader of the unit. Backup: Redshirt freshman Erik Magnuson Left Guard: Redshirt freshman Ben Braden 6-6, 314 pounds Braden may be more suited to play tackle, and it is possible that he makes a move to the outside as soon as 2014. But Braden has stood out since his first day on campus, and the coaches are serious when they say the best players will see the field. Backup: Redshirt sophomore Chris Bryant photo by per kjeldsen
