With the news of Felicia's diagnosis we are in a daily process of figuring it out. A member of our family has been hit with life-changing news and we are all devastated. Devastated that Fe has lost one of the things that she loves most and there is nothing we can do to fix it. We are a family here at Virginia. As a program we first grow the hearts of our student-athletes and their talents second. I'm not sure if we will ever be able to mend Fe's heart with this great loss, but we will do everything possible to comfort her and support her in [the] journey of her new normal. He completed 30 of 39 passes (76.9 percent) for 378 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, and also rushed the ball 24 times for 112 yards and two scores. The 490 yards of total offense are the most in UVA history, the most in the ACC this season and the third-highest mark ever against a UNC team. Perkins' output was tied for the ninth most by a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) player at the time. Since 2000, Perkins is just the fifth FBS player to throw for 350 yards, pass for three touchdowns, rush for 100 yards and record two rushing scores in a single game against a Power Five opponent. He was in- volved in 63 of UVA's 70 offensive plays, completed 16 of his final 18 passes, was responsible for 10 chunk plays (15-plus yards) and was 17-of-22 pass- ing on first-down plays that resulted in 203 yards of offense. His 490 yards of total offense ranks No. 22 all time in ACC history. PHOTO COURTESY UVA
