phasized a similar idea at Penn State hockey's media day in early October. "I just felt we had some unfinished business here," Limoges said. "I've got a lot invested here," he con- tinued. "I want to win a couple of cham- pionships. Last year was a rough ending." Forming part of that investment is the bond between Barratt, Limoges and Folkes, which the trio insists is as crucial to their success as any on-ice factor. Limoges and Barratt, both freshmen when the line debuted in October 2017, owned a natural friendship at the begin- ning. With the sophomore Folkes on their wing, fresh off a Big Ten-title winning goal in double overtime against Wiscon- sin the year before, Barratt was nervous he would let Folkes down. Quickly, though, Folkes proved a willing mentor, showing Barratt and Limoges around off the ice. Folkes' role in helping them grow, Barratt said, is something that goes un- dervalued. "For him, I feel like he doesn't look at it as how much we look up to him and how much he means to us and how much we enjoy playing with him," Barratt said.
