JANUARY 2020

B
owl projections varied fol-
lowing Michigan's season-
ending loss to Ohio State,
and initially it appeared the
Wolverines might be Gator Bowl-
bound to play an SEC team like Ken-
tucky or Tennessee.
The Citrus Bowl had something
else in mind — a Michigan versus
Alabama matchup at 1 p.m. on New
Year 's Day, pairing two blue-blood
programs, along with coaches who
have traded a few barbs in the recent
past.

Though junior Jerry Jeudy hasn't been as productive as he was last year with U-M offensive coordinator Josh Gattis coaching Alabama's wide
receivers and co-coordinating the offense, he still led the team with 71 catches, which went for 959 yards and nine scores.
