The 31-year-old also paces the Las Vegas Golden Knights in goals, points and assists (19). It's been an impressive rebound for the left winger, whose season got off to a slow start — he had just two goals in his first 14 games. He found the back of the net 13 times over the next 22 outings, including a game-tying goal with one second left to force overtime in an eventual 4-3 win over Nashville Nov. 26. His 13 goals from Nov. 2-Dec. 15 tied for seventh in the league during that time period. Duncan Robinson • NBA Robinson probably never gets his chance in the NBA if not for former Michigan head coach John Beilein bringing him to Ann Arbor as a transfer out of Division III Williams College. How did Robinson repay his former coach, now leading the Cleve- land Cavaliers? By lighting Beilein's new squad up for 29 points in 34 minutes of a 124-100 win Nov. 20. Robinson went 9 of 15 from three- point land on the night and set a franchise record with seven treys in the first half en route to what was then a career-high point total. He later posted his first NBA double-double with a career-best 10 rebounds and 10 points in a win over Brooklyn Dec. 1. Robinson then tied a Heat record with 10 threes en route to a new single-game best of 34 points Dec. 10 in a win over Atlanta. Moritz Wagner • NBA The second-year pro exploded for career highs of 30 points (on 13-of-15 shooting, 86.7 percent) and 15 rebounds in a win over the Timberwolves Nov. 15. According to the Elias Sports Bureau and ESPN Stats & Info, he was the first player in league history to post those totals while shooting at least 85 percent from the field off the bench since starters started being recorded in 1970. Per Basketball- Reference.com, he is just the 37th player in league history to post 30 and 15 on 85 percent shooting in a game ever. Wagner is also tied for the NBA lead in charges drawn, with 17, through Dec. 15. HEADLINERS Former Michigan athletes in the news this month
