With the start
of another
recruiting cycle
fast approaching,
the Nittany Lions
appear to be
in position to land
a highly rated class

enn State fans may just now be
turning the page to the Class of
2021, but for James Franklin and
the assistant coaches, it's business as
usual following the early signing period.
As of the 1rst week of January, the Nit-
tany Lion coaching sta2 had extended
verbal scholarship o2ers to 195 prospects
in the 2021 class, and that number will
only continue to grow in the weeks and
months to come.
It's still too early to predict how many
players the sta2 plans to take at each po-
sition, but that should become a bit more
clear once we know which current players
decide to enter the transfer portal.
Below is a breakdown of each position
and the players you should be following
closely in the months ahead.
QUARTERBACK Penn State wants to take
a quarterback in every class, and that plan
is not expected to change in 2021. Five-
star signal-caller Caleb Williams of
Washington, D.C., remains the top target
at the position. A 6-foot-1, 200-pound
prospect from Gonzaga, Williams visited
University Park in December and has
taken three visits total since the summer
of 2018. The Lions are among his top 1ve
schools, but PSU is also likely outside of
his top two or three. LSU is considered
the favorite, while Georgia and Clemson
